So, as has been mentioned, I’m working between Ubuntu and Windows. Ubuntu kicks ass but I’m stuck with Windows, as well, for a litany of reasons. Proprietary software is one of em.

I’m working on some music uploads and I decided it’s time to eliminate the issue of having ‘unknown artist’ pop up on a pressed up CD. It’s just not cool. Research led me smack into the fact that I can’t upload the music information unless I’m using Windows. The new owners of the CDDB won’t allow projects like MusicBrainz or freeDB access to their database. What a waste! Shame to think that CDDB started out free with people being able to send emails straight to the guy who actually started it!

Bad form, Gracenote, bad form.

There’s a rant back here.

As much as GoDaddy impresses me, sometimes they plain piss me off. Sure, the wait time for my call was nonexistent and I found out what I needed to know in 20 minutes – hell, the reason it even took that long was because of my slow as molasses satellite connection! – but damn!

There really should not be this much drama involved in renewing a domain. I’ll be on a hunt very soon.

Anyway…Planet Zoron’s website is down for the time being. Thanks to the bloodsucker hosting policy, I have to start the design from scratch. Please bear with us all and keep an eye over here – I have all their goodies anyway!

Days like today, I sit and I wonder…

What the heck do I wanna do now?

I’ve spent the last two days chopping up video footage so I really don’t wanna do that. I’ve got some seriously old pictures I could be going through for 4 different projects, all sorts of web work I could be doing on 4 other projects, music work I could be doing on…umm…Jeez. Eight projects. And that’s not to count the ‘regular’ music posts I was supposed to be attempting to do here (even though I do have a lot of heat lined up for that when I can find the time).

I just don’t know.

They’re all pretty important. And it seems like I’m not even putting a dent in any of it!

All I can say is I’m not gonna run out of Tallahassee hip-hop music, pictures, or video for quite some time…

Guess I better get to it. -sigh-

It really sucks, having all this great music and not bein able to brag about it. -grumble-

And I have all this killer footage I can’t play with because Windows sucks ass when it comes to operating systems. I do have SBE footage ready to go and a few of Planet Zoron’s sets have been chopped up. (Managed to get that done before all hell broke loose with my computers.) All that’s missing on those are effects. -grin-

So that leaves my ever-growing chunk of internet workings. I have…-counts-…five websites to tinker with and a possible sixth and seventh on their way. First, though…I’ve got to get this site tightened way up.

I think I’ll spend what’s left of this week workin on that.
